Plan your night
Make a night of it
Pair the show with a stop at Barelas Coffee House (3 blocks north on 4th Street) for a classic NM red-or-green plate, or El Modelo Mexican Foods (5 min drive) for tamales and a green-chile cheeseburger. Duran Central Pharmacy on Central is another close-by NM lunch institution worth a detour earlier in the day.
What to Expect
Venue Tips
The Roy E. Disney Center for Performing Arts (Albuquerque Journal Theatre and Bank of America Theatre) is on the National Hispanic Cultural Center campus at 1701 4th Street SW in Barelas — south of Downtown, just east of the Rio Grande and immediately south of the Bridge Blvd / 4th Street corner. Free on-campus parking. The Albuquerque Journal Theatre is the larger main hall (roughly 690 seats); Bank of America Theatre is a more intimate black-box-style space. Plan to arrive 30 min early — the campus is large and the box office / will-call is in the main building, a short walk from the theaters.
