Office Blvd is mostly business parks, so plan to drive a few minutes for food. Flying Star CafΓ© on Juan Tabo (5 min south) is a reliable post-shift stop. Range Cafe (NE Heights location, ~10 min) is another solid option. For green chile, head down Eubank to Garcia's Kitchen.
What to Expect
- Β·Make a tangible difference by helping load produce and assisting with direct food distribution.
- Β·Gain hands-on experience with logistics, traffic control, and community support efforts.
- Β·A fulfilling way to spend the morning while supporting local hunger relief initiatives.
Venue Tips
Roadrunner Food Bank's volunteer warehouse is at 5840 Office Blvd NE, just north of I-40 between Eubank and Juan Tabo (NE Heights). Most shifts are warehouse-based β sorting donated food, packing senior boxes, or handling produce β closed-toe shoes required, and dress for a warehouse environment (no shorts/skirts, layers help year-round). Sign-in is at the front office; large free parking lot. Shifts typically run 9 AMβnoon or 1β4 PM. Bring water; the warehouse can run warm in summer and cool in winter.
Local Tips
After your shift, grab a refreshing drink and some delicious tacos from the iconic Mission Tacos near Downtown ABQ.
